However, it is highly recommended to get a comprehensive insurance package to cover any unexpected medical costs while in Canada since it could be pretty expensive just to see a doctor being uninsured, not to mention real emergency. As for the $50,000, it is almost the same price as for $25,000.
So it is better to have twice as much coverage for a moderate price.
