There's actually quite a difference between Canadian and international companies. Canadian companies usually will walk you through the process of making a claim and finding the hospital or clinic to go in case of emergency. They are more informed about Canadian health system therefore tend do me more helpful when you contact their customer service.
And almost forgot, the most important thing is that you don't have to wait until you come back to your country to get a reimbursed for medical expenses. Canadian insurance companies tend to return your money in the closest dates or even do direct deposits so you don't have to do any expenses.
Hope that answered your question =)

Hello

I was wondering, what are the benefits of dealing with Canadian insurance company rather than with companies from my country?
